Born and raised in Ontario, Kat Main is an educator, writer, and researcher. She has swam in the Aegean Sea, jumped out an airplane at 13,500 feet and told fortunes on the streets of Vancouver. 

She now lives and works in Calgary, blending her time between writing and working in the non-profit sector. Kat’s writing has been published in a variety of magazines and recognized for numerous awards and prizes. She is currently at work on a collection of stories about her childhood that includes magic, ghosts and a real life murder mystery.
